7 Things You Didn’t Know About Me

August 5, 2009

As I sit here in front of my laptop;  and update myself on all my emails and social media accounts; I am reminded again on how important it is to show who you are to your audience. It occured to me after reading a newsletter I subscribe to that I haven’t done this in a while. It’s important to connect with your audience and let them in on pieces of your life that they normally wouldn’t know about. And that’s exactly what I’m going to do – give you some tidbits on who I am outside of E-Works Office Services.

So in light of my reminder I’m going to shed some light on 7 things you didn’t, and couldn’t possibly, know about me whether you simply follow me, are a current client, an acquaintance or a business associate.

1. I am a gluten-free cook. My daughter has Celiac Disease so I’m well versed in a lot of gf recipes and mine that I have adopted to the gf way.

2. Do not like being late – for anything – whether it’s a personal outing, meeting or otherwise.

3. I have a very “Yin Yang” birthday situation in my family. My daughter is born on my husbands’s birthday and my son is born on mine.

4. Hate horror movies! I think they’re a waste of time and creativity. I’d rather watch a movie that makes me laugh.

5. I love music. I can listen to just about any kind but mostly I like rock.

6. Can’t start a day without my coffee – a few cups at least. LOVE my coffee!

7. Morning is my most productive time of day. I’m a morning person by far.

So there you have it. You know a bit more about me now. Do you have a post, tweets, or a video that tells me about you?

Downtime in your coaching business?

May 7, 2009

Having a slow week, day or month? Or perhaps you’re coming out of a busy spell and you’re having trouble adjusting to the quiet time.

Well, there’s a number of things you can do in your coaching business to give it a boost.

Check your business information with your VA to ensure everything is in sync and up-to-date. That means all places that your business is listed – your website, blog, business documents, online listings. Is everything the way it should be? Check for old information that can be removed.

How are your services? Do they need tweaking? Do they need tossing? Have a brainstorming session with your VA to re-adjust them. Your services spell out who you are to your clients. Dream big and create an event that will keep your revenue going and your clients coming back.

Have a marketing session with your VA to create new ways to market your business. Repurpose content you already possess. Don’t reinvent the wheel! Make a list of the ways you can repurpose them and the tools you’ll need to do it. Then create a schedule to act upon them.

Your downtime will be a thing of the past.

Social Media Marketing

Social Media Marketing is all about creating and developing a community online. A community where you have developed relationships and your presence online. The growth in internet users and the social media sites they are visiting is exploding! The many sites and online tools that are available currently make it almost impossible for a business not to benefit!
